Physicists have created blobs of gaseous plasma that can grow, replicate and communicate - fulfilling most of the traditional requirements for biological cells. Without inherited material they cannot be described as alive, but the researchers believe these curious spheres may offer a radical new explanation for how life began. Full Story Here

lol, sounds like my friends. We have some fantastic beaches in new zealand, if you've ever seen a map of the country we have a huge amount of coastline to land. Im really looking forward to the summer so that I can go up to the Goat Island marine reserve, a fantastic place to go snorkelling and home of my uni's Leigh marine lab. Just 20 min to the north is my fav beach ever, Pakari, where i have been learning to surf
